Christmas Tales

December 25, 2019

Why does Santa deliver his presents through the chimney? Why do we light candles at Christmas? Why do we hang stockings by the fireplace and a pretty wreath on our front door? Why do we have a Christmas Tree? Why do we use Mistletoe, mail Christmas cards, decorate everything in red, white, and green?

In my home in Germany the Christmas season was always very special. In the evening we lit a candle. And in the glow of the dancing flame we sat in a circle telling ancient Christmas stories. In looking back, I have long forgotten any material gifts I have received. But I still remember the stories. I wish to share them with you in hopes that they will make your Christmas season as special as mine.

Merry Christmas,
Sigrid
